Our Lil Samurai class is a preparatory program for our traditional martial arts program specially designed to meet the needs of our students’ ages 3-5. They will experience an introduction to Martial Arts in this fun filled, fast-paced class designed just for your Lil’ Samurai! Legacy MMA’s Little Samurai Martial Arts class promotes inner strength while increasing confidence in physical and social abilities.
For most students in this age range, this will be their first group activity. With that idea in mind, the emphasis is on attention span, listening, discipline, balance, memory, motor skills, fitness, and promoting social skills.
Our kids Mixed Martial Arts program teaches kids 6-11 years old the best techniques of various Martial Arts disciplines. Kids learn the dynamic throws of Judo and Wrestling, the striking techniques of Boxing and Kickboxing, along with the best self-defense techniques of Jiu Jitsu. Our Capoeira Program is an all ages class starting at 6 years old and up. The class focuses on developing athleticism, strength, coordination and musical skill. In Capoeira class, students will work their flexibility, reflex, agility, rhythm and basic acrobatic skill. In addition, students learn Portuguese language skills by learning basic greetings, commands, Capoeira songs and general vocabulary
Our kids Judo program introduces students 6-11 years old to the Olympic sport of Judo. Classes consist of basic throwing, grappling, and self-defense techniques. Classes focus on developing balance, self control, team work, and self confidence. In addition to the physical aspect of training we strive to instill in our students the traditional values of honesty, fair play, and compassion that are associated with the practice of martial arts.
Our teen Mixed Martial Aarts program is specifically designed for teens ages 12-16. This class teaches students skills in Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, Wrestling, and Boxing, as well as incorporating strength and conditioning. The program empowers teens through Martial Arts to become focused, self disciplined and respectful to others. If your teen is looking for a change from regular sports, then this is it!

Our Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) program captures the combative essence of martial arts and is designed as a new hybrid course. This course will focus on fighting tactics, including drills and scenarios for striking and grappling situations. Our MMA program was developed for a few purposes. First, the MMA program helps fighters get ready to compete in amateur Mixed Martial Arts events. Second, the MMA program gives athletes, who just enjoy the sport, a chance to learn and improve their skills and compete with their peers. Third, the Mixed Martial Arts program offers members a chance to learn some effective and useful self-defense techniques for the street.
The Mixed Martial Arts class will use the basic training skills, conditioning drills, punches, and kicks of Kickboxing. The program will also add the basic throws of Judo, the ground fighting of Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling, and the self-defense skills of various Martial Arts. This class puts the proven skills of all these arts together to make a simple, yet effective training system
The Judo program offers classes for beginners and advanced students. Our classes teach the basics of Judo. You will start out with fundamental defense, escape, and submission techniques from varying positions along with various falling and throwing techniques. Each class has its own focus, and usually consist of a Judo or Wrestling inspired takedown, followed by ground grappling techniques.
Our Jiu Jitsu class is designed to provide adults with a solid foundation of Jiu-Jitsu technique that works equally well for both self-defense and sport, while at the same time serving as a great way to get in shape while having fun. Jiu Jitsu emphasizes technique and leverage to achieve success rather than being dependent on the physical characteristics of size and speed. As a result, practitioners build valuable motor skills that can help them succeed in any physical endeavor.
