Sensei Oscar Tinajero began his martial arts training at age 14 at Gadsden HIgh School. Participating in the Judo program at Gadsden High School and earning his black belt during his senior year in high school. Sensei Tinajero went on to New Mexico State University to instruct the Judo Club. During his time at New Mexico State University, Sensei Tinajero helped develop the Judo program and produced many state, national and world champions. Sensei Tinajero has studied various martial arts including Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Kendo, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts.
Ms. Michelle Solis is in charge of operations in the dojo and is co-owner of Legacy MMA. A graduate of New Mexico State University with a degree in early childhood education, Ms. Solis has worked with children for 20 plus years. Her martial arts background includes being a "dojo mom" which involves planning for events, tournaments, and various activities to make sure our students are prepared and have a great experience. Ms. Solis, along with Sensei Tinajero help in the development of our children's character and life skills program.
Ms. Christina Solis is in charge of our various self-defense programs and is an active Judo competitor. Ms. Solis is a student at New Mexico State University and is working towards her degree in Astrophysics. Ms. Solis assist Sensei Tinajero and Sensei Terrazas in the development of our Judo athletes and instruction of our Judo program.
Joe Terrazas was born and raised in Anthony, New Mexico and attended Gadsden High School. It was there he took his first Judo class at the age of 16. Mr. Terrazas is a graduate of New Mexico State University with a degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance. At this time, his goals include assisting Sensei Tinajero in teaching children, and developing curriculums to include children with developmental disabilities- a population Mr. Terrazas has served with a passion for nearly 20 years in his behavioral health career.
Ms. Arianna Conde is the lead instructor for our Little Samurai and Little Ninja programs. Arianna started training at the age of 11 and has quickly developed her Martial Arts skills. A Las Cruces native and a graduate of Las Cruces High School, Arianna actively assist in the operation of our dojo. An active Judo and Jiu Jitsu competitor, Arianna is a first degree black belt in Judo and is in charge of the development of our 3 to 5 year old children's programs.
Ms. Vada Kernan started training in Martial Arts at 9 years old. An active competitor in kickboxing, Judo, and Jiujitsu, Vada brings high energy to our MMA programs. Ms. Kernan instructs our kids and teen Mixed Martial Arts program
Ms. Lisi and Ms. Nyleen are the leaders for our special team of role models(S.T.O.R.M.). As leaders and role models, their positive energy and good attitude serve as an example for all of our younger members. They both assist with the warm ups and instruction of our various classes.
